Band of Mothers is a bimonthly feature on moms who inspire us. Our goal is to cultivate a community of women, mamas, and children. Every other week, we’ll ask a mom 3 questions. Her perspective and stories are what makes up Band of Mothers. This week we’re talking with Erin Tielsch.
What was your ‘holy shit, I’m a mom’ moment?
I had the best pregnancy. No morning sickness and everything was pure and perfect. I felt as thought I had a superpower. Then the day came to return back to work. This was gut wrenching and rocked my world. Releasing Claire into the arms of another was the moment I realized ‘holy shit, I’m a Mom’ and you know what, everything turned out ok.
What’s the ‘keep it real’ advice you received or wish you had received?
Listen to your inner voice. Give space for yourself and babe to be. Push everything else aside; the chatter, pressure, advice from others, and allow yourself to trust yourself.
Describe your kid(s) in 3 words:
Gold, Loving, Charismatic
